VACUUM MACHINE
The vacuum machine is helpful in deep-pore facial cleansing treatments. It acts like a miniature vacuum cleaner, using suction to remove deeply embedded dirt, grease and other impurities from the skin. The suction also gives a deep penetrating massage and draws blood to the surface of the skin. With increased circulation, the tissues are oxygenated and nourished. One must remember that for thin, dry or mature skin a light suction is used. Stronger suction may be used for oily or thick- skinned clients.
SPRAY FUNCTION:
The spray is used to spray a fine mist on the face. It can be used to mist the skin with a refreshing toner to remove any residue of cleansing or mask products from the skin. It can be used, also, to apply a fine mist of astringent to cool or sanitize the skin after extraction of blackheads and pimples. In general, it is used to apply a gentle mist to the skin, no matter what you?re trying to achieve.
HI-FREQUENCY MACHINE
The hi-frequency machine has several functions:
Aids in elimination and absorption.
Increases glandular activity.
Stimulates blood circulation.
Germicidal action when applied to the skin.
Increases cellular metabolism.
Aids in deeper penetration of products into the skin.
GALVANIC MACHINE
The galvanic machine has two important functions during a facial treatment: (1) helping to pull impurities from the skin, and (2) helping products to penetrate into the skin. These two steps are called:
(1) Disincrustation ? Helping to pull impurities from the skin. (cleansing). Usually done only on clients with oily skin. If a client has an oily T-zone or other oily area, this step can be performed only on the oily areas.
(2) Iontophoresis ? Helping treatment products penetrate into the skin. (treatment). Can be used on all skin types.
