HIGH FREQUENCY MACHINE
The high frequency machine has several functions:
- Aids in elimination and absorption.
- Increases glandular activity.
- Stimulates blood circulation.
- Germicidal action when applied to the skin.
- Increases cellular metabolism.
GALVANIC MACHINE The galvanic machine has two important functions during a facial treatment: (1) helping to pull impurities from the skin, and (2) helping products to penetrate into the skin.
These two steps are called:
(1) Disincrustation ? Helping to pull impurities from the skin. (cleansing). Usually done only on clients with oily skin. If a client has an oily T-zone or other oily area, this step can be performed only on the oily areas.
(2) Iontophoresis ? Helping products penetrate it into the skin it can be used on all skin types.
